Welcome to Voyagou. Your privacy is at the core of our design. We've built our app to be fully functional even without an account, giving you control over your information. This Privacy Policy explains our privacy-first approach and how we handle your data transparently.

1. Information We Collect

When You Use Voyagou Anonymously:

You can plan trips, search for tickets, and use the core features of Voyagou without creating an account. In this case, we do not collect any Personal Identification Information like your name or email address. All your travel plans, saved itineraries, and ticket information are stored directly and locally on your device's cache.

When You Optionally Create an Account:

If you choose to create a Voyagou account to sync your travel plans across multiple devices or for backup purposes, we will collect the following:

• Personal Identification Information: Name, email address, and profile picture (if provided).
• Third-Party Authentication Data: If you use services like Google or Facebook to log in, we collect authentication tokens and basic profile info to verify your identity. We do not store your external passwords.
• Anonymized Usage & Device Data: To help us improve app performance, we may collect anonymized data about how you use our app and what device you are on.

2. How We Use Your Information

How we use your information depends on how you use Voyagou.

• For All Users: To process your affiliate bookings and transactions. Note that when you click to book with a partner (e.g., Trip.com), you provide data directly to them.
• For Account Holders: To provide, maintain, and sync your account across devices via our secure cloud database, and to communicate with you about your account.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We only share information when it is essential to provide the service you've requested.

• Service Providers (Supabase): We use Supabase to host our database and manage user authentication. They process your data strictly to provide these infrastructure services and are bound by security agreements.
• Booking Partners (Affiliate Disclosure): When you choose to book a service, we redirect you to trusted partners like Trip.com, Tiqets, Kiwi, and Viator. We may pass basic search parameters (dates/locations) to them to facilitate your search, but the booking happens on their platform.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law.

4. Local Data Storage & Your Control

For users without an account, all travel plans and data are stored locally on your device. This means you have full control. You can clear your app's cache or data at any time through your device settings to permanently delete all your travel information from your device.

5. Data Security

We implement robust security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access. We use industry-standard encryption for data synced to the cloud. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

You have certain rights regarding your personal data, particularly if you are in the EU.

• Control Over Local Data: You can delete all locally stored data by clearing the app's cache.
• Account Holders: You have the right to access, correct, or delete your account information. You may also request a copy of your data or object to its processing by contacting us.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
